With nine days to go before the November 2nd General Election, Governor John de Jongh and Lt. Governor Greg Francis led an unbelievable motorcade of over 1,000 cars through the streets of St. Croix
this afternoon and helped to lead a huge political rally of over 2,000 people on the west end of St. Croix tonight.
The motorcade began at the D.C. Canegata Ball Park in Christiansted Sunday afternoon and made its way to Frederiksted culminating at the site of the annual Festival Village with a rally, live music and speeches by numerous persons who turned out to endorse the re-election bid of the Governor and Lt. Governor.
Throughout the motorcade route from east end to the west end of St. Croix, die hard supporters donned their tee shirts and hats and waved de Jongh-Francis flags as a tremendous showing of support. Vehicles in the motorcade were bedecked with posters, stickers and lots of other signage encouraging everyone to vote #1 on Election Day for continued progress in our Virgin Islands.
