The morning began with First Lady Cecile de Jongh casting her ballot at the Joseph Sibilly School followed by Governor de Jongh voting at the Charlotte Amalie High School. Lt. Governor and Mrs. Francis voted at the Juanita Gardine Elementary School before flying over to St. Thomas early today. From the Charlotte Amalie High School, the Governor and Lt. Governor travelled to St. John and visited the Julius Sprauve School in Cruz Bay before returning to St. Thomas for a whirlwind stop at each polling precinct.
As of this writing, the team has visited precincts at the Eudora Kean High School, Bertha Boschulte Middle School, Joseph Gomez Elementary School, the Department of Education's Curriculum Center and the Winston Raymo Center. Other polling places to be visited include: Addelita Cancryn Junior High School, Ulla Muller and Michael Kirwan Elementary School. This afternoon, the team heads to St. Croix for stops at the polling places in that district before the polls close at 7 pm.
The governor and lieutenant governor will be on St. Croix to take in the election results tonight before returning to St. Thomas. |
