Robert O'Connor, Chairman of deJongh-Francis 2010, announced that the campaign was ecstatic and felt a tremendous sense of pride that Virgin Islanders overwhelming chose the Governor and Lt. Governor’s message of real and positive progress and the Administration’s efforts to build a future for all of the territory’s
residents:
“Governor deJongh and Lt. Governor Francis never wavered in their positive campaign centered around the issues and challenges that they have been addressing each day on behalf of Virgin Islanders. Our campaign rejected any kind of negative tactics and focused our efforts in a positive direction for our Territory and the voters made it clear that this is also what they
want."
“The voting public has resoundingly rejected the three months of misleading, negative attack ads that were directed at the Governor and Lt.
Governor."
“The support we have seen tonight will take us through the November 2nd General Election and beyond. We thank each and every Democrat who exercised his or her right to vote and we offer an invitation to all the Territory’s residents to join us on the progressive path to continued development of our
islands."
