Earlier this afternoon,
I commended the members of the Virgin Islands Board of Elections for their professionalism and hard work in conducting a fair, equitable and transparent certification of the results both during the Primary Election and in the recent General
Election.
The staff of the VI Election System
should be acknowledged for their outstanding efforts in conducting a fair and transparent process during the election calendar.
The election season is always a highly energized and sometimes chaotic time but the hard working individuals at the Elections System did a tremendous job and they should be commended for their hard
work.
Now that the campaign season is over and the re-election of Governor John P. de Jongh, Jr. and Lt. Governor Gregory R. Francis has been certified, it is time to end the campaigning and focus solely on the mission of governing the U.S. Virgin
Islands.
Now we
must turn our attention to the next four years.
Now is the time to come together and to work together with Governor deJongh and Lt. Governor Francis to build a better tomorrow for all Virgin
Islanders. |
